The manpower problem is definitely an issue, but that's not an excuse. They can always outsource their social media management.

I's a shame that small businesses are missing out on such a great opportunity, but in some ways I can understand why. Rohan touched on it, it's mainly because they don't have the man power to do it. It does require a full time commitment and many small businesses don't have the budget to add the salary of a social media strategist. I think it's worth the investment though.

Hmm, it's because they don't have enough personnel to take care of their advertising. We all know that it needs to be monitored daily. But that should not be a hindrance for them. Think of the free advertisement and the visibility social media marketing delivers. They are missing out on a lot of things.
